When you sign in with Google, we collect your name, email address, and profile photo. We also store your conversation history with Marg and your study profile — including preparation context, cognitive and behavioural patterns, mock history, practice progress, check-ins, and product-engagement milestones — to personalise your experience across sessions. If you choose to request an earned community invite, we store the WhatsApp number you submit and the request status. That number is saved directly to Supabase and is not sent to Gemini or added to your chat history. For friend challenges, we store the shared question and anonymous events such as link opened, answer submitted, Ask Marg clicked, and completed referral sign-in so the creator can see whether the challenge was genuinely used. We do not expose the creator’s identity on the public challenge page.
Your data is used solely to provide and improve Marg's mentoring experience. We use your profile to personalise responses and save your conversation history so you never lose your progress.
Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers. We do not sell, share, or trade your personal information with any third parties for any purpose.
Conversations and submitted images are processed through Google's Gemini API to generate responses. Google's applicable privacy terms apply to this processing. We store conversation history in our database to provide continuity across sessions.
Daily check-in information — whether you studied, how many hours, and the date — is stored to build your streak and progress tracking. This data is only visible to you and is never shared.
We use minimal tracking. Your login token is stored in your browser's local storage to keep you signed in. We may use Google Analytics to understand how users interact with Marg — this data is anonymised and aggregated.
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us at support@trymarg.com from the email linked to your Marg account. We will process your request within 7 business days. Clearing a chat or your browser storage alone does not delete records stored in Supabase.
Marg is intended for users aged 16 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
We may update this privacy policy occasionally. We will notify users of significant changes via email or a notice on trymarg.com.
